Bachelor of Science in chemistry, biology, geology (or a related scientific or engineering field) is required.
Minimum 7 years' experience working in a quality or laboratory capacity in a manufacturing or commercial laboratory. This experience must include performing traditional laboratory activities and analytical testing. Experience performing inorganic and material science analytical tests is considered a plus.
Experience with and a thorough understanding of third party quality systems and how those systems affect non-conformances and corrective actions is required. Experience with ISO 9001:2008 and Responsible Care (RCMS) protocols is considered a plus.
Comfortable leading and implementing organizational change and finding unique solutions to existing problems and opportunities. Strong communication, analytical problem solving, and organizational skills are required. Experience working on and leading Quality improvement cross-functional teams is required.
Experience using typical office software including lab and analytical reporting software is required.
