This is a full-time faculty position that reports to the Department Chair, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics. Starting Date: Summer 2018. Review of applications is ongoing and will begin immediately.
Teach at least 24 credit hours in physics (conceptual through advanced), astronomy (introductory), geology (introductory) and supervise the pre-engineering program.
College teaching experience or professional experience is preferred.
This position will oversee the Physics department, including scheduling yearly physics courses, managing equipment and labs, and working with other universities to facilitate the transfers of our pre-engineering students. These responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Qualified candidates should have a PhD in Physics or Physics Education. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Physics or Master’s degree in a closely related area with a minimum of 18 hours relevant physics graduate work will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be able to articulate a Christian philosophy of faith and learning.
