The Exploration Resource Assessment Department is seeking a top Resource Assessment Specialist.
Working in a multidisciplinary reservoir assessment team, you will plan and lead studies to assess original hydrocarbons in-place through building high-resolution models.
You will conduct probable reserves assessments, and perform risk analysis studies for the business to help develop quality plays.
Minimum Requirements: As the successful candidate, you will have a bachelor’s degree in geology, petrophysics, or geophysics. Preferably, you will hold a master’s degree and PHD.
You will have 10 + years of industry experience. Preferably, this experience will have been acquired in an oil major or independent oil company.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities: You will be required to perform the following:
Plan and lead studies to assess original hydrocarbons in-place through building high-resolution models using the Petroleum Resource Management System (PRMS).
Manage QC reservoir top and base maps, zonation, and geological facies, and establish original fluid contracts using multidisciplinary data.
Perform rock typing using logs and SCAL data, and build saturation height models.
Calculate fluid parameters from PVT reports, and carry out material balance reports to assess the amount of hydrocarbons in-place.
