The College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (CSTEM) at Eastern Washington University seeks candidates for the position of Associate Dean. This is a full-time administrative position which reports to the CSTEM Dean; anticipated start date is August 2017.
The candidate hired for the position will also carry the rank of Associate or Full Professor (dependent on qualifications). Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
CSTEM is an active and growing college that educates over 28% of the students in the university as declared majors. We offer a wide range of traditional and interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs in the departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics, as well as ABET-accredited degrees in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering & Design in the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences.
Overview of Position Responsibilities
The Associate Dean, in collaboration with department chairs, faculty, and staff, coordinates or manages activities involving services for students in the College's degree programs, reviewing and revising the College's curricula, designing and operating assessment processes, and maintaining data bases for planning and decision-making in the College.
The Associate Dean also plays a vital role in helping the College to maintain its program accreditations and to foster close working relationships with industry and community partners.

Conditions of Employment
This is a 12 month full-time administrative exempt position. Persons hired in with the credentials for a tenured faculty appointment (either Associate or Full Professor), will have the right to return to a faculty position if/when this administrative exempt appointment comes to an end.
