Must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience, out of which at least 10 years of drilling engineering experiences. Fewer years of experiences will be looked into if candidate has strong background or experience in automation and development of drilling advisory systems.
Should have a practical field experience related to automation. Experience from service companies, university researchers, or independent consultancy.
Should have a background in drilling engineering related to onshore and offshore directional drilling, deep gas drilling, smart completion, expandable, down-hole drilling tools, rig equipment, etc.
Should possess outstanding analytical abilities. Problem solving skills related to NPT and ability to write algorithms/codes to mitigate such problems.
Outstanding technical capabilities as shown by publications (SPE, IADC, OTC, or IPTC, etc.), patents and IPs.
Should have strong commitment to OHSE.
Duties & Responsibilities: You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Conduct a research to provide new technologies and solutions to the challenges faced by Saudi Aramco Drilling & Workover stakeholders. The research is related to the focus area of advanced drilling tools.
Originate ideas for new inventions in the field resulting in Saudi Aramco assigned IP.
Provide expert advice and assistance on operating problems relating to the area of your expertise.
Specify design criteria and relevant operating parameters for development of Bl's and/or new projects within your area of expertise.
Participate in project technical reviews and reviews proposals for new or changed operating procedures on his area of expertise to ensure efficient and economic operations.
