The Department of Physics, Geology, and Engineering Technology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in an ETAC-ABET accredited program beginning August 2019. Primary Responsibilities :
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechatronics or related field, with demonstrated expertise through educational or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: integrated manufacturing systems, packaging work cell design, high level robotics programming and integration, electric vehicular systems design, testing and validation, and electro-mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses, develop curricula, participate in program assessment, engage in undergraduate research and development projects, participate in service, (including department engagement with the community) and engage in research and other scholarly activities.
A doctorate degree in a related engineering or engineering technology field is required. Industrial experience and previous college teaching/mentoring experience strengthen the application.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations is required.
