The Springfield Headquarters is seeking applicants for an Environmental Analyst in the Power Production division. This position is primarily responsible for monitoring, reporting and analyzing regulations related to land, water usage and discharges, and/or waste generation at AECI facilities.
Analyze existing and proposed environmental regulations insuring compliance with standards, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.
Interact with EPA, DNR, local and state environmental organizations to maintain related permits, plans and reporting requirements.
Lead and participate in corporate environmental audits at power plants on Land & Water compliance areas.
Participate in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and landfill permitting activities.
This position will require up to 25% travel.
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chemistry, or related Earth Science/Environmental Science field is required.
Minimum of 2 years related experience is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects to meet deadlines is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build relationships across all levels within and outside of the organization.
Knowledge of land and water regulations, waste generation and disposal regulations, and environmental practices related to land use is preferred.
