General Description of Position:
Teach various Geology courses including Physical and Historical Geology.
Description of Duties and Tasks:
Applicant will teach various Geology courses including Physical and Historical Geology to a diverse student population including majors and non-majors. Provide advising for students. Attend relevant professional development opportunities with respect to pedagogy, learning management system (Canvas) and laboratory equipment.
Minimum Qualifications :
Applicants must have a Master's degree from an accredited institution plus 18 credits in Geology. Applicants must be skilled in basic instructional technology and familiar with learning management system such as Canvas or Blackboard.
Experience teaching various modes including hybrid is a plus. Experience teaching a diverse student population is preferred. College-level and community college teaching experience preferred. PhD in Geology is preferred.
