The Hydrogeology Group in the Colege of Arts & Sciences at University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill an hourly-paid Research Scientist position to work on numerical modeling of multicomponent reactive transport during groundwater and surface water interactions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate related discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis
Master’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or other relevant discipline may be substituted for up to one year of the required work experience
A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or an equivalent program
A solid background in chemistry, physics, math, and programming (preferably in Fortran)
Superior oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience in research, and interests in scientific problems related to groundwater and surface water modeling are all desirable
