Geology and Environmental Sciences - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (19005853)
The Department of Geology and Environmental Science is seeking a Data and Research Analyst to conduct independent research beneficial to the Collaboratory, including the development of a green infrastructure database with Collaboratory partners and conducting cross-cutting research associated with the Pittsburgh Collaboratory for Water Research, Education, and Outreach.
The incumbent will conduct GIS analysis and other data interpretation activities in support of Collaboratory projects, assist with managing Collaboratory activities and provide logistical support including planning and coordinating quarterly meetings. Other duties include maintaining the webpage and assisting in the drafting of manuscripts, infographics, and other written materials. The incumbent must possess a bachelors degree in a relevant field and 4-6 months experience in an academic setting.
Experience with GIS software and a strong understanding of surface and groundwater hydrology is required. The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences is committed to building a culturally diverse staff.
