The Department of Geological Sciences is looking to hire a temporary Laboratory Mechanic to complete the following duties:
*General support of research field work
*General departmental research equipment maintenance
*Develop new teaching and research technologies
*Maintain departmental specialized computers
*Assist supervisor in maintaining departmental inventory
*Fill the nitrogen dewars in the counting room bi-weekly
*Assist with poster creation and printing
*Assist with meeting departmental EH&S requirements
*Assist with the maintenance of Graham 207 computer lab image
*Setup and maintain license servers for department software
*Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair specialized analytical equipment.
*Assist with the maintenance of the water purification system for the department
*Maintain and backup departmental NAS servers
*Train and certify operators of department vehicles
