The Department of Geological Sciences at Central Washington University seeks a solid earth geoscientist, inclusive of the broad areas of petrology, volcanology, and related fields, for a tenure-track position beginning September 16, 2020. A strong commitment to teaching and research at the undergraduate and M.S. graduate level, including working with students from traditionally underrepresented groups, is essential. Hiring is expected at the assistant professor level, but candidates at the associate professor level who would enhance CWU’s diversity are also encouraged to apply. We also encourage applications from candidates who have had non-traditional career paths, or who have taken time off for family reasons, or who have achieved excellence in careers outside academia.
