Post-doctoral opportunity at the University of Pittsburgh in organic geochemistry
We seek a post-doctoral researcher interested in the application of organic geochemistry to solve problems in biogeochemistry and Earth system science. Specific projects within this scope can be adjusted based on the postdoc's qualifications and interests. Required qualifications include expertise with LC/MS analysis. Desired qualifications include a background in one or more of the following: analytical organic and stable isotope biogeochemistry, paleolimnology, climate and environmental change, carbon and sulfur cycling, or geobiology.
The position is a one-year position with a possibility of extension, housed within the Department of Geology and Environmental Science at the University of Pittsburgh (https://www.geology.pitt.edu). The post-doctoral scholar will work with the research group of Dr. Josef Werne (http://www.pitt.edu/~jwerne/), and can also be associated with the Center for Climate and Global Change (https://www.climatecenter.pitt.edu) and/or the Pittsburgh Collaboratory for Water Research, Education, and Outreach (https://www.water.pitt.edu) if desired. This is a research focused position that may include a component of student mentoring and outreach.
