General Description of Position:
Teach Geology courses (lecture and/or labs) at the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA)
Interested applicants must have a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Geology or the allied Earth Sciences.
Description of Duties and Tasks:
Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Instruction may be during the day, evening, or weekend. Compensation is per credit hour and based upon rank. The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment.
Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Geology or other allied Earth Sciences
Experience teaching with a learning management system such as Blackboard. Prior experience at the community college level teaching Environmental Science
