We are searching for an experienced Part-time, faculty - Earth Science/Geology at our Santa Maria Campus facility. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Part-time, faculty - Earth Science/Geology Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for part-time instructors to establish a pool of qualified candidates to teach at the Santa Maria Campus and The Lompoc Valley Center for future openings. As positions for part-time instructors in social sciences open, the department will select instructors from the established pool. EDUCATION: Master's degree in geology OR Bachelor's in geology AND Master's in geology, geophysics, earth sciences meteorology, oceanography or paleontology. OR the equivalent per Board Policy 7211. Special Qualification: Evidence of a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students, and to staff and students with disabilities. SALARY: Lecture Rate: $48.00 to $73.50 per hour depending upon education and experience Lab Rate: $41.80 to $64.00 per hour depending upon education and experience Activity Rate: $30.89 to $48.21 per hour depending upon education and experience SCREENING PROCESS: A committee will review applications.
