The Natural Sciences Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an anticipated opening for a full-time Geography/Geology Instructor. *This position is contingent upon funding.
This position will be responsible for full-time instruction in one, two, or all of the following instructional areas:

The Geography and Geology Departments at Jefferson Community & Technical College are putting strong emphasis and encouragement towards Active Learning in our classrooms which would result is less traditional lecture and more Inquiry Learning from the students. You will be encouraged to participate in professional development towards creating lessons using these methods Salary based on qualifications and experience.
Master's degree in Geography or Geology or a Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Preferred candidates will have two years of teaching experience including labs. Experience in, and understanding of the importance of, working with students from diverse backgrounds required. This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, which consist of frequent contact with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Jefferson Community and Technical College is one college with six campuses and several remote teaching locations. This position will not be limited to one campus or location.
