Assistant Professor in Sedimentary Geology, Stratigraphy & Geobiology
The Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington invites applications for a tenure-track position in sedimentary geology, stratigraphy and geobiology. This position will demonstrate a creative vision and pursue interdisciplinary research focusing on the use of the geological record to investigate the reciprocal interaction between the Earth and life, through time. Possible research areas include, but are not limited to: sedimentary petrology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, biogeochemistry, geomicrobiology and paleobiology. This position will teach core undergraduate courses in Earth history and geobiology, and more advanced undergraduate courses in sedimentary geology, stratigraphy, and geobiology. This position may present opportunities to incorporate fieldwork
