The position will reside at the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories (MLML) where the faculty emphasizes integration of mentoring, teaching, and research, with excellent facilities and staff that contribute to make this a renowned program for a Master’s degree in marine science. Since its establishment in 1966, MLML and its scientists have contributed significantly to the advancement of the field of marine science, both in Monterey Bay and worldwide. MLML offers undergraduate courses but is primarily a graduate institution ...for students seeking a Master of Science degree in Marine Science, through a consortium of seven California State University campuses. The typical MLML faculty course load is two classes per semester including an undergraduate-level class in the Computer Science Department. The successful candidate will be an SJSU faculty member and will work with both MLML and Computer Science faculty but will be located at the MLML facility, with all or most of their teaching/research conducted at MLML.
