The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications to fill the position of Teaching Postdoc, beginning August 1, 2022. We seek a creative and inspiring educator who can teach introductory level courses in environmental geology and an undergraduate level course in hydrogeology. The successful applicant will be expected to teach up to two courses each Fall and Spring semester, as well as accept service assignments and responsibilities within the Department. These could include directing and mentoring undergraduate research and conducting their own research program. The salary for two semesters will be paid over twelve months, plus benefits. The initial appointment will be made on a one-year term with potential for annual renewal.
A PhD is geosciences is required at the time of appointment; relevant postdoctoral training and/or classroom teaching experience are considered as positive attributes.
