EPSS/UCLA seeks an Assistant Researcher/Laboratory Manager for the NSF/UCLA Ion Microprobe National Facility. The successful candidate will conduct geochemical and cosmochemical investigations with the UCLA ion microprobes, provide direction for maintenance and support of the facility, oversee facility staff, schedule instrument time, and assist users in acquiring high quality data with the ion microprobes. As a P.I. of the NSF Facility grant, the Assistant Researcher/Laboratory Manager will undertake a program of independent, externally funded geological research. A Ph.D. in geochemistry or related field is required; experience with ion microprobe analysis is desirable.
