Research Scientist: Geochemistry for CO2 Sequestration
Schlumberger-Doll Research (SDR) seeks to hire full-time Research Scientists with expertise in numerical modeling of geochemical interactions in porous media related to carbon dioxide geological storage (CGS). The successful candidate will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to advance our theoretical and practical understanding of dynamic changes in fluid and rock characteristics expected during CO2 injection and sequestration in geological formations. Areas of focus include thermodynamic and kinetic modeling of CO2-water-rock reactions using geochemical-speciation codes and thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical modeling of reservoir dynamics using reactive-transport codes. The positions are embedded in the Modeling & Interpretation department at SDR,
