FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Physical Sciences at Kingsborough Community College is seeking adjunct faculty for the 2022-2023 academic year to instruct undergraduate courses in Earth & Planetary Sciences for majors and non-majors.
Vaccine Requirement:
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fuly vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment. All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to their campus.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:
Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Geochemistry, Geology, Geophysics, Oceanography, Planetary Science or similar subject matter area and the ability to instruct successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:
B.A., B.S., M.A., or M.S. degree in Atmospheric Science, Geochemistry, Geology, Geophysics, Oceanography, Planetary Science or similar subject matter area and the ability to instruct successfully.
COMPENSATION
Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour
Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour
Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 - $118.45 per hour
Adjunct Professor: $112.50 - $130.49 per hour
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
