Department Name: 40520:KY Geological SurveyJob Summary: The Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS), a publicly supported research center within the University of Kentucky (UK), is recruiting a Geologist II. This position will log cores from the Kentucky Tennessee Mineral District, enter information for import into databases, cut core samples, perform petrographic classification of carbonate rocks, and extract relevant information from archive mining documents. Tasks will also include fluid inclusion microthermometry, as well as compiling data tables and preparing data visualization.
