Accountabilities:

• Maintenance and operation of preparatory and analytical instrumentation; training users on instrumentation and lab techniques; sample preparation. • Laboratory safety and hazardous waste management in research and teaching laboratories
• Support department activities, student/faculty research, and field trips (including van driving)
• Maintain department lab and field equipment

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed in order to successfully work with numerous undergraduate research assistants and research participants.
• A demonstrated, technologically savvy, highly organized approach and the ability to work independently are also essential.
• Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students within a university context.
