The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in the College of Science, the University of Texas Arlington, invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track faculty position with broadly construed areas of expertise in geology, meteorology, or environmental science. Faculty candidates for higher ranks with exceptional track records will also be considered. Opportunities for collaboration exist within the department in the areas of geochemistry, geochronology, sedimentary geology, environmental chemistry and toxicology, environmental health, climate change and paleoclimatology, paleontology, tracer hydrology, and with other research groups in the College of Science in the areas of data science or analytical chemistry. Our geochemical and analytical strengths include the Center for Environmental, Forensics, and Material Science and an ultraclean laboratory within the Earth and Environmental Science building, as well as other facilities at the UTA Science & Engineering Innovation & Research (SEIR) building.
