Job Description:
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach an in-person Geology courses at the undergraduate level. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.
Specific in-person need at the Chillicothe and Southern campuses includes GEOL 1010, How the Earth Works. An introduction to the forces affecting our planet's surface and interior features. Topics include the origins of volcanoes, earthquakes, and mountain belts along with the ways they impact people's lives. Topics also include the roles of landslides and streams in shaping the Earth's surface, and the formation of earth materials and mineral resources. Intended for both science and nonscience majors seeking a nontechnical overview of the Earth's always changing and sometimes dramatic geology.

Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. The expectation is in-person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology. This is not a remote position.
This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Geology. Additional requirements include teaching experience in Geology courses.
