Assistant Professor of Geoscience
Job Description:Teach undergraduate courses in Earth and planetary sciences, sustainability, astronomy and geology. The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that would include but are not limited to: Introduction to Sustainability, Environmental Dilemmas (a capstone sustainability course), Introductory Earth Science, Introductory Geology, Planetary Science, Introductory Astronomy, Minerology/Petrology Laboratory, and GPS Field Techniques.Deliver courses using a variety of methods, including in-person and online, commensurate with department and university needs.Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.Engage in service to the University and community.Suppor
