St. Lawrence University invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank Endowed Chair position in Geology, beginning Fall 2026. We seek a mineralogist or petrologist whose teaching and research emphasize field-based studies in hard-rock geology and has experience or demonstrated interest in research based in the Adirondack region or comparable terranes. The successful candidate will develop an active research program that involves undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include core laboratory courses for majors, including Earth Materials, an introductory geology course in Environmental Geology, and geology classes in the candidate’s area of expertise. Preference will be given to candidates whose teaching and research interests include topics such as econo
