INTRODUCTIONThe Department of Marine Sciences seeks to add a full-time (9-month) tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to teach and conduct engaged research on the physical and marine geological processes that determine the evolution of coastal geomorphology, and the mechanisms responsible for determining the patterns of sediment transport and fate of contaminated sediments.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the Department's initiative in Coastal Ecosystems and Health, the engaged scholarship supported by the Connecticut Institute for Resilience and Climate Adaptation (CIRCA), and the Department of Earth Sciences' initiative on The Earth and its Future.
