Trinity University seeks applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) in the Department of Geosciences. The VAP will teach introductory Geosciences courses such as Volcanology, Earth’s Environmental Systems, and/or Oceanography that serve both intended Geosciences and Environmental Studies majors and students taking the course to satisfy a Pathways general-education requirement. In addition, the VAP may teach Geosciences core courses such as Solid Earth Processes.

Teach a total of nine contact hours per semester (the equivalent of 6 courses during the 2022-23 Academic Year) to support the curricular needs of the department and the Pathways general education curriculum.
Attend weekly department meetings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is completed in an office environment. May work under pressure to meet office/project deadlines. Must be able to move about freely. Willingness to travel on behalf of Trinity University. Physical demands are light. All lifting is less than 50 pounds. Occasionally, the incumbent will be required to pick up or deliver information to an off-campus office.
