Overview: Fall Line is being created to be a world-class destination golf and sportsman’s club. Comprised of 4,200 acres (and counting) located in the beautiful Georgia Sandhills region near Butler, Georgia, which is located approximately 40 miles east of Columbus and 45 miles southwest of Macon, Georgia. The area is bisected by the Fall Line geological formation from which the club derives its name. The founders envision a highly selective membership of approximately 100 individuals. Fall Line will serve as a retreat for these members, their families, and guests complete with accommodations, food and beverage, and sporting pursuits.
This position is for Short Course Assistant Superintendent
Priorities of the Position:
Lead the team in all daily golf course maintenance tasks designed to create championship playing conditions for our members and guests.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervision of the staff
Assist in making plant protectant and fertilizer applications including record keeping and equipment upkeep
Assist in irrigations system repairs and water management decisions
Contribute to the daily maintenance of the golf course, including but not limited to; mowing, course set up, hand watering, drainage and any duties in the maintenance operation.
Manage the inventory of plant protection products and fertilizers
Assist in the training and orientation of new employees in all aspects of golf course maintenance
Assist in integrated pest management and course scouting
Daily communication with the Superintendent regarding course conditions, event planning, and all club activities

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of progressive golf course maintenance experience
Demonstrated strong written, verbal, interpersonal & communication skills
Embraces daily use of technology and ability to evolve with modern practices
Upbeat and competitive attitude with the desire to be the best
Technical skills in golf course maintenance including: Plant protectant applications, irrigation systems, equipment operation/ maintenance, soil science, and water management
Leadership skills including: Team management, project experience, departmental and inter-departmental communication, scheduling/ workflow management, and member relations
Golf Course:
Fall Line currently has 36 holes of golf under design by the Australian golf architecture firm of Ogilvie, Cocking, and Mead (OCM) and includes a 9-hole short course and a “Himalayas” style putting complex, practice facilities, and instructional areas. The courses combine elements of English heathland courses with the Australian sand belt architecture brought to the region by Alister McKenzie.
